We offer an initial assessment of the home care needs of your loved one, for a reasonable, flat fee so we can match your loved one with caretakers most suitable for your family’s needs. During the initial assessment we typically develop a written individualized plan of care, which we give to you. We are not MDs or RNs and do not provide licensed medical care. However, we strive to develop a plan of care which is written according to the State of Michigan’s recommended best practices listed at LARA Sections G 572 and 574.

Here are some factors we take into consideration when building a plan of care and then caring for your loved one:

  • all known diagnoses
  • your loved one’s mental and cognitive status
  • the types of medical equipment and safety equipment required
  • the frequency and duration of care visits to be made, keeping in mind that many of our clients do not want to be alone in their homes unattended
  • functional limitations and rehabilitation potential and
  • nutritional requirements
